  After waiting on the phone to a call centre for an hour with no result I decided to visit the branch instead. The friendly/helpful staff assisted me and had me out of there in under 10 minutes!

  Term deposit has matured but I haven't been contacted. Rang the number, but they couldn't respond. Emailed them and still waiting!

  After waiting in line, in store for 5 minutes, I decided to instead try depositing $800 into the ATM outside. The ATM mis-counted as $750 so I cancelled the transaction, and thankfully it returned the full amount.
  
  I then waited another 10 minutes in-store to be served. I told two employees that the machine mis-counted. The first replied "no worries", while the second replied with something equally dismissive. (Having briefly worked at Westpac, I know that ATMs can and do miscount).
  
  There was no thank you for my advice, nor apology for the inconvenience, nor any indication that they'd do anything to check the machine. Moreover, no "thank you for your patience" or explanation for the significant wait time. Service used to be much faster at this branch. And much more polite. It seems that both wait times and good customer service have sadly fallen in recent years.

  ATM won’t accept deposits despite the staff saying they fixed it - then waited 20 minutes inside for the one teller - avoid this branch at all costs - time to change banks

  Absolutely bizarre experience. They wouldn't allow me to pay my money to my settlement agent in their branch..it had to be done before 2pm. They supposedly don't have anyone who can do it tomorrow. What does that mean ? It means I have to forgo a days relief teaching ($554+)so I can drive over to Mt Lawley branch from Wembley to make the payment !!! Absolutely bizarre !!! What a disgraceful way to treat a customer !
