We have just completed the 18-day 310km coast-to-coast hike across England with Mike Wood and we had a wonderful time.
Everything was well organised by Peregrine Travel Perth and, as a very influential person, Mike was even able to dial up some excellent weather while we were huffing and puffing our way up and down mountains in the beautiful Lake District.
Over such a long distance encompassing 3 national parks we faced many challenges including a wide variety of landscapes and weather conditions. Mike is a very experienced tour leader and was always well organised and prepared. We had a lovely group of like-minded hiking companions and together we enjoyed many memorable experiences as we undertook this amazing adventure.
At the end of each day it was always nice to reach our well-chosen accommodation for a hot shower, hot meal and a nice warm bed.
This was our second trip with Peregrine Travel Perth and we certainly recommend them.

I would like to share my thoughts on my recent trip to Antarctica organised so well by Mike Wood in Perth.I travelled on the Ocean Endeavour leaving Ushuaia 8/2/2023.
We were greeted by a positive, enthusiastic , friendly staff ….all the activities were extremely well organised so each activity ran smoothly. We knew exactly what we had to do and felt safe at all times. The guides went out of their way to ensure that we could do and see as much as possible. The weather was perfect for us so we were able to kayak every day and learned so much from our very knowledgeable experienced guides.’The Plunge’ was fun, food was great , catering for different diets and plenty of variety..Loved listening to the presentations from a variety of speakers who were so passionate about their various fields. They all displayed a love for Antarctica and are determined to keep it as is…I am a teacher and the children I work with are about to learn SO much about Antarctica. …!!
    Thankyou Mike

Recently participated in travels to Patagonia and the Antartic Peninsular. It was the first time I’ve ever been part of a group travel (I’ve done a lot of travelling, but always as an independent) so I was a bit apprehensive.
Much of my concern was well allayed before departure: the ease of booking all the components of this ‘once in a life time’ journey and the information updates provided by the awesomely competent and efficient Jenelle let me know I was embarking on a journey with a highly professional company.
The small group with whom I shared the Patagonian side of the journey were great - one wonders if they were handpicked for compatability.
Our local area guides were amazing! The value added to my experience due to their knowledge and skill in imparting that, I know I could not have gained as an independent traveller.
The Antartic experience was incredible - so amazing to be visiting that last continent in the company of so many passionate and knowledgeable others, so willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Certainly, there were a couple of things that could be changed, but having Mike along as part of group means he heard our feedback immediately and we know it will be taken on board.
Oh, and one of the highlights was our lovely South American guide - Luciano - so knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra yard to ensure we all got the most out of our experience - priceless!
Thanks to every one for the great memories.

2020 is memorable for many reasons...but mostly for the wonderful time spent on the Walking in Patagonia trip in January with Mike Wood and Peregrine. This is at least our 8th or 9th trip with Peregrine - Mike and his team are superbly well organised and a delight to travel with. A truely delightful holiday with wonderful company

At the start of April, we completed Intrepid's 'Premium Japan' tour that ran between 16 and 27 March. We also took the opportunity to spend a few days in Tokyo before the tour and stayed on in Kyoto for another few days afterwards. We then stopped over in Singapore for a few days on our way back to Perth. Intrepid's tour of Japan was extremely well organised. We enjoyed great accommodation. The tour was designed to make full use of the excellent public transport available in Japan, wherever possible. We travelled on Shinkansen bullet trains, luxury tourist trains, local urban and rural trains, local buses, ferries and on trams - plus a funicular and a cable car. Our excellent intrepid tour guide made sure no time was wasted waiting for transport to arrive, as he got us onto railway platforms every time a few minutes before the train departed. The tour program managed to fit in many great locations in a short period. We visited important shrines, temples, countryside, villages and cities. Japan proved to be a great place for a travel vacation. We also want to thank Mike Wood of Peregrine WA who worked with us to book the tour from the outset.

Had one of the best experiences of my life with these guys- trekking to Everest Base Camp and over the High Passes. The organisation, itinerary, company and inclusions were fantastic. They have also liaised with overseas contacts to arrange holidays on a small scale and have been thorough and inventive with planning. Their detailed knowledge of amazing locations means that you can be sure that you will have the most amazing trip. Am looking forward to many more ...
